PEATA (I), born in 1965. We are now 45 years old, with strength of approx. 2500 . We are growing. PEATA (I) is a brand. Our fraternity cares for us. Media too has started recognizing us. Our word has weightage in our field. People are aware there is an association with mature and rational approach which can be relied upon to give correct assessment of the policies and its effects. Our action and approach have always been stedy but firm in the proper direction, proper perspective to achieve required goal. It is due to happy blending and strong bonding of old stalwarts with new blood giving the experience and enthusiasm to others to continue the task ahead.
As a successful professional for last 35 years and being part of PEATA Pariwar for more than two decade, I am aware of the task ahead. .
As per JNNRUM directives govt. / Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai is supposed to encourage affordable mass housing. Municipal Commissioner has held number of meetings with Director ( E. S. & P ), Chief Engineer (D. P. and concern approving staff for speedy approval to achieve mass housing. PEATA was specially invited. We have attended all the meetings religiously with our practical input as usual. M. C. in principal has agreed with various points and issued the circular also to streamline procedure for various N. O. C. from various department.

As regarding U. D. MOEF / CRZ : We all have to sit together. I always believe, PEATA is a big “study group” we want this group to be converted in to “Pressure group”. PEATA comprises of strong individuals, successful professionals, collectively we can do wonder.
We don’t mind joint ventures on common issues with other bodies from Building Industry. But our seniority and independent identity needs to be maintained.
In near future we intend to do lot of activities, organize workshops, seminars on various current hot topics for which we need your active participation. I feel we should not restrict our self to Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai or U. D. but expand our wings towards MHADA, M. I. D. C., MMRDA etc. In fact lot of construction activities being done by M. M. R. D. A. in Mumbai and out skirt. We need to know our members about the happenings. “NEWS LETTER” PEATA (I), supposed to be a mouth piece of PEATA - we will further activate it and will be strengthen by interim “News bulletin”. Here after E-News on E-mail : present mode of interaction will be on Regular basis. I can look at you in better perspective Personally I know my capacity and strength. Our bonding is my strength.. We all are individuals, successful in our profession, collectively we can do wonder. I always say PEATA is a good study group. . I am fortunate, I am having back up of experience and youth, Talent and intelligence. Beside this whenever we need extra support we are having our Past Presidents for guidance at any given time. We all know PEATA now is a brand, it has a tradition. It has independent identity. We need to maintain it. We work for our professional brothers, understand their grievance, put forward before authority. We know our passions. With our own strength, ability without any props or under any body’s umbrella or obligations we will try to achieve the goal. I now appeal to you all very humbly, let us work out our aims and objectives and achieve them successfully, all of us “working together” in the interest of our fraternity.
I hope, I have expressed my self. You had given me an opportunity. God has given us the vision and under standing. Let us pray.... To impart us unity and strength to undertake, fulfill and achieve our objectives … personally I need your blessings too.
