General Rules & Regulations

  1. Interpretations
    In the interpretations of these rules, the following expressions shall have the following meanings unless inconsistent with the subject or context.

  2. Associations
    Association means "Practicing Engineers Architects and Town Planners Association of India"

  3. The Bye-Laws / Rules and Regualtions
    The Bye-Laws / Rules and Regulations shall regulate all the matters embodied in the constitutions.

  4. These Presents
    These Presents shall mean the rules and regulations of the association from time to time in force.

  5. Constitution
    The constitution shall mean memorandum of Association & Rules & Regulations of the Association for the time being in force.

  6. Member
    Members means the members of the association of all categories as listed in the Memorandum of the association in accordance with the rules and regulations of the association for the time being in force.

  7. Person
    Person shall mean an individual any company or society or body of individuals for the time being.

  8. Executive Committee
    Executive Committee means the executive committee consisting of duly elected and / or co-opted committee members for the time being of the association.

  9. Month
    Month means the calendar month.

  10. President
    President means the president of Association duly elected as per the rules and regulations of the association for the time being.

  11. Authorities
    Authorities shall mean any authority or Corporation duly created by the enachment of Legislature or Parliament or the order of the Govt. and shall include any statutory or Ad-hoc committee appointed by such authorities for any purpose.

  12. Words
    Word imparting the singular number shall include the plural number and vice versa; word imparting the masculine gender shall include the feminine gender & vice versa.

  13. Financial Term
    The term financial year shall mean period starting from 1st April and ending on 31st March of following year or as prescribed by the statute.
